26.01.1916 - Steam tramway opens (the Kopli Line, 1524 mm, regauge to 1067 mm in 1931)
13.05.1921 - Gasoline tramway begins operation
28.10.1925 - Electrofication of tram lines begins
11.1953 - Last run of gasoline trams
A high speed (light rail) line to Lasnamae was under construction in the 1980s. A segregated right-of-way was allocated, some infrastructure including tram stations built. The project was halted upon the collapse of the USSR.
