One of the last 4 or 5 serviceable vehicles that remain on the property. Only three trolleybuses are sent into service on a daily basis. On the day in question 018 stayed behind at the depot.

Curiously, older Shanghai SK541 vehicles are equipped with the driver's seat on the left side, while newer Shenfeng SY-D60C vehicles (in the background of this photo) have the driver's seat on the right.

Shenfeng SY-D60C 032.
All ten newer Shenfeng SY-D60C trolleybuses, delivered in 1997, remain out of use due to complex maintenance requirements. This vehicle is perhaps the best preserved one out of the batch. Note the fleet number, 032, and compare to the next photo.

Even though this trolleybus is clearly out of order, for reasons not immediately clear, the fleet number 032 was given to another trolleybus of the same type, see photo above.

The partition is used by the conductor to give 'stop' and 'go' signals, which would be one tap with the hand vs. two taps respectively.

Even though adapted for left-handed operation, older Shanghai SK541 vehicles retained the driver's seat on the left side.
