Brightly painted in advertising colors trolleybus overtakes a railroad crossing as it leaves massive developments of new apartment blocks to the northwest of the city. Trolleybus in this photo is about to reach the split of the line at Tenistaya Ul., from where the central city trolleybus loop begins. ZIU-682G 55. Line 2V Main Railroad Station-bound. The city-bound trolleybus serving Line 2V just completed a turn onto Ignatyevskoe Shosse (Highway) from Dyachenko Ul. At this point both Lines 2V and 2K go together, yet the city-bound stop for 2V is located prior to the intersection, while the stop for 2K is located after the intersection. Thus, trolleybus in this photograph overtakes the 2K stop in express mode. Upon the opening of the line to the northwestern suburb in 1984, and up until further extensions were built in 2000, trolleybuses only went as far as this intersection, at the very fringes of apartment block developments. ZIU-682G 42. Line 2K City Center-bound. The city-bound trolleybus serving Line 2K completes a straight move through the intersection via Ignatyevskoe Shosse. There are two consecutive loops encircling the large development of new apartment blocks in the northwest. The first one is a two-way loop, while the second one is a one-way loop. Trolleybuses serving Line 2K operate the first loop following a counterclockwise pattern. A 5 km. long trolleybus line comprising the western part of the first loop via Ignatyevskoe Shosse and Studencheskaya Ul., together with the complete second loop near Oblastnaya Bolnitsa, was opened in 2000.
