The new extension to Severnaya AZS was opened 05.09.1995, together with the new Line 7, which was the first consecutive number available at that time. The Line number was changed to107 shortly thereafter. This was done to emphasize the suburban status of the line, which allowed for premium fare to be charged. Charging the premium fare, however, was quickly found illegal by the local district attorney's office. The fare was promptly reduced to a regular citywide level, but the unique Line number 107, stuck. Incidentally, this is one of last known photos of 1166, as it will burn down 6 month later, on 30 Jan 2003, leaving 1167 to operate solo.

Tatra T-3 1114+1115. Line 107, Park Pobedy-bound.
The Severnaya AZS line is a single-track line. Here in this photo a 2-car train awaits for the opposing tram at the only passing point, in the middle of the line. The line is served with two 2-car trains on weekends, and two single cars on weekdays.

Tatra T-3 1092. Line 1, Poselok-bound.
At the time when this photo was taken, this line happened to be the newest tram line in Russia. The new trackage was laid paralleled to Repina Ul.

3-08. The Parkhomeko stop, near Repina Ul. / Parkhomenko Ul.
Tatra T-3 1092. Vokzal Ulyanovsk-I-bound.
The Parkhomenko stop is visibly underutilized, as the snow is not even cleaned. This stop is usually passed at full speeds. Strangely, two of five stops on the new line have the same fate, and do not really serve any passengers. At the time when this photo was taken, 1092 was 32 years old.

The Poselok line is built to serve the new apartment block' development at the northern fringes of the city. By 2006 only a few buildings were actually built. The new extension was serviced by Line 1, operating on roughly 20 min. daytime headway. The usual passenger load was about 10-15 people per car.

Tatra T-3 1233. Line 1, Vokzal Ulyanovsk-I-bound.
In 2006 the line led to nowhere, the practically unused and undistinguishable GSK "Rubin" stop (in the background) was literally located in the opened field.

Tatra T-3 1091. Line 1.
The loop and the terminal stop are located at the edge of the forest.
