A trolleybus follows a one-way loop around a sizeable city block at the southern end of the city' only trolleybus line. Inbound trolleybuses stopped at the main railroad station (in the background), then proceeded 300 meters further, around the corner, to the bus station, where they made another stop and terminated. Outbound trips started at the bus station only.

A trolleybus during a layover at the terminal near the bus station. A one-way trip via the city's only trolleybus line took 15 minutes. Nevertheless, 60 minutes was given to each trolleybus for a round trip, which called for the customary 15 minute layover at each of the terminals. A photograph of a trolleybus and a horse buggy was a Vaslui's staple.

It is 16:30 o'clock, however, trolleybuses are already stored for the night in the streets at the terminal near the bus station - the system operated without the depot. Diesel buses will provide service along the trolleybus corridor for the reminder of the day. This photograph is somewhat rare, as it depicts trolleybus 504 with it's poles up (in the back), returning from service via the line - for the last few years of system's operation this vehicle was known to be kept as a stand-by only.

ROCAR Diesel Bus
Diesel buses served the corridor along the main Strada cel Mare alongside trolleybuses. While articulated trolleybuses served each 2nd short turn run to the industrial park in the north of the town, short 12-meter diesel buses served each 2nd run continuing via the same corridor to the suburban village of Moara Grecilor, about 1 km. further.

Trolleybus' breakdowns happened on daily basis. The given trolleybus bails out of service early in the morning "rush" hour. In such cases affected runs mostly remained unfilled.

3 days after the system's closure diesel buses remain in service via the formerly trolleybus corridor. Short turn runs to the industrial park in the north of the town, previously operated with articulated trolleybuses, were simply abandoned. Only long runs to the suburban village of Moara Grecilor were now operated, served with short 12-meter diesel buses.

The last look at Vaslui system's trolleybus overhead. At the time of this photo, almost two years after the system's closure, the overhead remained 99% intact, with only a few short segments missing. The overhead will, however, be completely removed about a month later, supposedly to be replaced with the new one in anticipation of system's possible reopening.
