Trolleybus operator OAO “Vologdaelektrotrans” is a part of the same consortium as the locally located “Trans-Alfa” trolleybus factory. Hence, the city trolleybus network acts as testing grounds for factory’s products. The Vologda rolling stock is among the most diverse in Russia. The Line 3 was suspended in 12.2013 due to heavy duplication by diesel buses and low ridership.
