The trolleybus system consists of a single 3 km. long line between the main railroad station and the downtown. It is the smallest trolleybus system in world. Opened in 2003 following a relocation of the city's main railroad station from the city center to the outskirts, the trolleybus line is designed as a feeder shuttle line. Trolleybuses are operated by a regional bus carrier. The small bus and trolleybus yard is located 0,85 km. away from the trolleybus line, and neither connected by, nor does have an overhead. Trolleybuses use an auxiliary battery power on depot runs.

The scheduled regularity is skewed due to adjustments to railroad schedules. Trolleybuses have a somewhat shabby appearance. There is an apparent issue of low service availability due to maintenance problems. On some occasions there are not enough serviceable trolleybuses to cover rush hour service. Only 2 out of 5 vehicles were found operable during the visit on 13.08.2015.
