Sovetskaya Ulitsa – Lomonosova Ulitsa – Vatutina Ulitsa – Karpinskogo Ulitsa
Lines 52, 56 (formerly 55).

The line opened in stages: 10.01.1964 to Gudovantseva Ul.; 29.12.1964 to Kvartal Molodezhniy; 22.05.1966 to Kvartal Gagarina. The line was temporarily out of service in 2003-2009 due to rolling stock shortages.

Kvartal 50-Letiya Oktyabrya Line
Lines 52, 53, 54, 56.
A trolleybus line to vast developments of apartment blocks in the east of the city [map]. The line opened in stages: the outer segment to Kvartal 50-Letiya Oktyabrya opened 17.07.1970, connected to the city center via Lomonosova Ul.; the additional connection via Kurchatova Ul. opened 30.12.1982. The corridor is still effectively divided into two segments, with the Line 54 providing a connection to the city center for the western half of the line, and the Lines 52, 56 providing a connection to the city center for the farthest eastern half of the line. The Line 53 that originates at Avtovokzal (the Bus Station) provides through service via the entire length of the line. The Line 52 is a very long service between the western and eastern suburbs via the city center. On 01.12.2013 half of runs in the eastern part were designated as the Line 56, operating short turn trips between the city center and the eastern suburbs only

Kvartal Komarova Line
Line 54 (formerly 55).
A short line via the boulevard with a terminal loop in the middle of a moderately traveled intersection [map].

Sovetskaya Ulitsa – Linyova Ulitsa
Lines 51, 52, 54, 57, 58.
A part of the trolleybus corridor to the western suburbs [map], the segment between the city center and Kvartal Gaevogo opened in stages: to Ul. Chapaeva in 11.1962; and to Kavrtal Gaevogo in 12.1965. A short turn loop for suburban service to Pos. Yubilejniy, the Line 57, was opened on 09.12.1983 at Chapaeva Ul. comprising a one-way loop around a sizeable city block. The loop was unused since 02.02.2001 following extension of the Line 57 to the city center, and was eventually dismantled. Note a curious overhead arrangement at the Kvartal Gaevogo Terminal.

Kvartal Yuzhniy Line
Line 51.
A line to developments of apartment blocks in the west of the city [map], opened in 1988.

Kvartal Mirniy Line
Line 52, 58.
The newest trolleybus line in the city [map], opened on 18.09.2010, and the only electric transport line built after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The Line 52 is a very long service between the western and eastern suburbs via the city center. On 23.11.2013 half of runs in the western part were designated as the Line 58, operating short turn trips between the city center and the western suburbs only.

Posyolok Yubileyniy Line
Line 57.
A long suburban line to a satellite development of apartment blocks Yubileynoe west of the city limits [map]. The line opened 09.12.1983, and was paid for by the mining ministry, as the Luganskaya (Yubileynaya) mine is located in the area. The line gets the most sparse trolleybus service. In the early 2010s official timetable called for the Line 57 to operate with 2 trolleybuses every 35-41 min. In reality on multiple occasions only 1 trolleybus was observed in operation, effectively doubling the wait to 70-82 min. In the late 2013 only one trolleybus was officially assigned to this line. A storage and basic maintenance facility for 25 vehicles previously existed at the end of the line.
