The Astoria Riverfront Trolley is a heritage streetcar line, which operates via a former freight railroad track along the south bank of the Columbia River. It is the second most prominent tourist attraction in town after the Astoria Column. The line is not electrified, with portable diesel generator-in-tow used for electric power supply.

08.06.1999 - The first segment Portway Street - 36th Street opens;
2006 - An extension from 36th Street to 39th Street opens.

A former railroad's single track is used. The right-of-way is mostly segregated, except for a 320 meter-long segment in the town center, as well as through some riverside freight yards, where the right-of-way is technically mixed. The line utilizes 4 wooden railroad riverside trestles.

Approximate headway: 60 min.

The line operates daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Hours of operation are 12:00 - 19:00. There are more limited dates in late spring and early fall with varying hours of operation. In some cases operation is timed with cruise ship stopovers. There is no exact schedule. There are designated stops, however, the tram can be flagged down on request at any point along the line.

Brill car 300 by American Car Company (1913);
ex-San-Antonio (1990); ex-Portland (1998)

Car 300 operated in regular service in San-Antonio until systems' closure in 1933. Later on the car provided heritage service in San-Antonio 10.1982-12.1985 and in Portland 06.1990-09.1994.
