Volchanka. Spektr 71-402. Southbound. For the last 1.6 km and the
last four stops, the line enters the northern settlement of Lesnaya
Volchanka. While in the southern settlement of Volchanka trams run
down the center of main avenues, in Lesnaya Volchanka trams are
expelled to the outskirts. (08 Feb 2007, YM) |
 | 3-02. In the vicinity of Pochtovaya Ul. Spektr
71-402. Northbound. The technique of snow-ploughing using the tractor
involves pushing snow off to the side at certain points whenever too
much snow accumulates in-front of the tractor. In some places, after
the tractor passes by, it is hard to believe the right-of-way is still
possible for trams. The tram railroad crossing with a rarely used
railroad branch is hardly noticeable behind the pile of snow. (08 Feb

between the southern and the northern settlements are made in
unintentional express mode. The Lesnaya Volchanka
town park is on the right. (08 Feb 2007, YM) |

Stop. Spektr 71-402. Northbound. The next stop is the second-most
popular stop in Lesnaya Volchanka. To better understand actual
distances traveled, the previous stop depicted above, is located at the
curve in the background of this photo. (08 Feb 2007, YM) |

Ul. KTM-5M3 car 8. Southbound. A rare sighting of car 8 out in
service. This car was locally assembled out of car 5, the burned down
car 8, the ex-Nizhniy Tagil car 53, and possibly car 9, and the

cars. (2001, Volchansk municipality, from YM collection) |
 | 3-08a. The northern Lesnaya Volchanka
Terminal. Spektr 71-402. Despite its peripheral location, this is the
most traveled-to stop in the northern settlement of Lesnaya Volchanka,
concurrently serving as the bus station. Here the line abruptly ends at
the edge of the urban part of the settlement. Getting to most
neighborhoods of Lesnaya Volchanka by tram involves some walking. At
the time of this photo, trams were scheduled to leave the Lesnaya
Volchanka Terminal hourly between 7:35 and 23:35. (08 Feb 2007,
