1-01. The Vokzal (The Main Railroad Station) Terminal.
LM-93 car 60, followed by 58. Line 3.
Car 60 is about to head to the depot, while car 58 just came out of the depot to replace it. Both cars followed one another all the way from the depot to this terminal, upon which 60 is relieved of its duties, and 58 enters service instead. The Main Railroad Station used to be served by Line 1 Vokzal - Shakhta "Osinnikovskaya", which connected the Station with the outlaying industrial areas of the city. As economy of the city changed in the 1990s, passenger flows changed accordingly, thus nowadays the Station is served by Line 3 Vokzal - Yuzhnaya that goes to the city center.

1-02. Lenina Ul., approaching the Vokzal terminal.
LM-93 car 60. Line 2, Vokzal-bound.
The street leading toward the Main Railroad Station ends here as the roadway curves toward the railroad crossing. The tramline continues on toward the railroad station via rugged terrain.

1-03. Lenina Ul., near the Dorstroy Stop.
LM-99 car 67. Line 3, Vokzal-bound.
The Vokzal extension has only 3 stops. It is still a single-track line with one passing point, practically untouched ever since the opening of the line in 1960.

1-04. Lenina Ul., between the Dorstroy and Tramwaynoe Upravlenie Stops.
LM-93 car 58. Line 3, Yuzhnaya-bound.
Even though route numbers are not generally used in Osinniki, most cars serving the Vokzal - Yuzhnaya Line carry a small route number display '3' in the windshield next to the sign that reads 'Vokzal'.

1-05a. Lenina Ul. at the Depot, the Tramwaynoe Upravlenie Stop.
LM-93 cars 62, 60 and 58 (left to right). Line 3.
A procession of cars 60 and 58 arrives at the passing point in-front of the Depot. Car 60 was to pull into the Depot, but upon dispatcher's interference, plans have changed. The sign in the windshield now reads "RMZ", thus this car is being sent to patch up service on Line 2 via the previously existed Vokzal - Shakhta "Osinnikovskaya" route. The "RMZ" Terminal, however, is only half way to Shakhta "Osinnikovskaya", thus 60 is to follow a short version of the route. Car 62 pulls out of the Depot and is ready to enter service toward Vokzal, where it will replace the next Depot-bound car, following the same scenario as with 60 and 58 above.

1-05b. Lenina Ul. at the Depot, the Tramwaynoe Upravlenie Stop.
LM-93 cars 62, 58 and 65 (left to right). Line 3.
To continue the scene played out in the previous photo, car 60 just left for RMZ, and car 58 is about to leave toward the city center. At the same time car 65 arrives from the city center. Car 62 in the background assumes the starting position and awaits for car 65 to pass, so it could follow it and relieve it at the Vokzal Terminal.

LM-93 car 60. Line 3, Vokzal-bound.
While completing an earlier run, car 60 enters a passing point near the entrance to the Depot as it arrived from the city center. East of the Depot the line continues as a single track.

1-07. Lenina Ul., approaching the Lenina Ul. Stop.
RVZ-6M2 car 37. Line 3, Yuzhnaya-bound.
Car 37 is pictured at the beginning of the line to Vokzal, by the tram dispatch. This tram is about to turn right (viewer's left), toward the city center and Yuzhnaya.

RVZ-6M2 car 17 to the left. Line 2, Sotsgorod-bound (nowadays Yuzhnaya).
RVZ-6M2 car 38 to the right. Line 2, Shakhta "Osinnikovskaya"-bound.
Trams meet at the only tramway junction in the city. Cars 17 and 38 were delivered in 1978 and 1987 respectively. Car 17 was also captured during the 2004 visit and could be seen on photo 17 at the Depot, while Car 38 was already retired by 2004.

The same car was photographed 12 years later and could be seen on photo 28. The single-track line to Vokzal branches off to the right.

1-08b. Tramway junction at the Lenina Ul. Stop.
LM-93 car 64. Line 2, Yuzhnaya-bound.
The same spot as above in 2004. The single-track line to the left leads to the depot and to Vokzal, and was used by the former Line 1 that operated between Shakhta "Osinnikovskaya" and Vokzal until the mid-1990s. Even though 64 operates via Line 2, the route assignment, is identified by the placard placed in the windshield that reads "Yuzhnaya". Route number displays were not noted on cars operating Line 2.

1-09c. Tramway junction at the Lenina Ul. Stop.
LM-93 car 60. Line 3, Vokzal-bound.
This car is about to turn left toward the depot and Vokzal. The curve leading to the Vokzal line remains single-track. Thus, trams that arrive from the city center cross onto the opposite track prior to completing a left turn. The automated signal for northbound motor traffic protects the tramway curve. This is done for safety reasons considering that trams lack rear view mirrors on the left side. There is no traffic signal for southbound motor traffic.

1-09d. Near the Lenina Ul. Stop, at Novostroyka Ul.
RVZ-6M2 car 2. Line 2, Sotsgorod-bound (nowadays Yuzhnaya).
This RVZ-6M2 car was delivered in 1978/79. It replaced RVZ-6M car 2, which, in turn, was in service since 1970.

1-10. Near the Lenina Ul. Stop, at Novostroyka Ul.
KTM-5M3 car 14. Line 2, Shakhta "Osinnikovskaya"-bound.
Car 14 is one of 10 KTM-5M3 cars delivered to the city in 1988 and 1991. There were also 2 KTM-8 cars delivered in 1993. Cars built by the Ust-Katav factory were never liked in Osinniki, thus they were sent to the neighboring cities Novokuznetsk and Prokopyevsk in 1994. Car 14 was the only KTM car in operation on the day of this visit.
