4-01. Both lines C & D originate in Littleton, but split at the 10th / Osage Station and enter Denver's central area via two different branches. Train on the right just arrived from downtown via the D line ('D' probably stands for the 'downtown' route), train on the left arrives from Littleton / Mineral via the C line. After meeting with the D train, it will follow the Central Platte Valley Line to Union Station ('C' probably originates from the name of the line). (17-June-2005, YM)
4-02. The C train arrives at the Union Station Terminal of the Central Platte Valley Line. (17-June-2005, YM)
4-03. The light rail train sits on the layover trackage beyond the Union Station Terminal, next to the Union Pacific Railroad right-of-way. (17-June-2005, YM)
4-02. The same train pulls back to the platform, ready to leave for Littleton. While waiting for its scheduled departure, it meets the hybrid electric / CNG bus of the Free Mall Ride line. (17-June-2005, YM)
4-03. The new tram 201 takes a break from continuous testing at the stub end near the Union Station. (17-June-2005, YM)
4-04. Denver's Union Station is also served by a handful of remaining long distance passenger trains. (17-June-2005, YM)
4-04. The facade of the Union Station from Wynkoop St. The station and the neighborhood around it is turned into a posh Disney-like urban-land. (17-June-2005, YM)
4-05. The view of the Union Station from 17th Street / Wazee St. (17-June-2005, YM)
The interior of the standard Siemens-Duewag SD100 high-floor articulated tram, in this case car 116. Note stop request buttons that are not even activated. (17-June-2005, YM)
Folding wheelchair access ramp makes front doors of all trams unusable for regular customers. (17-June-2005, YM)
A local ride (one not crossing Hampden Avenue in the southern part) costs $1.10 one way, $2.20 round trip (as of 2002). This is the front side of a round-trip ticket... (14-Mar-2002, Stefan Mashkevich)
...and the back side. For a full trip, it would be $2.50 and $5.00, respectively. (14-Mar-2002, Stefan Mashkevich)
