The only short section of double track in Solombala briefly appears on Nikolskiy Pr., along the first stretch of the northernmost Yuzhaaya Maymaksa Line, right before the Mescherskaya Stop, prior to the now closed former tramway Depot 2. The merge between two Solombala lines at Krasnykh Partizan Ul. is visible at the end of the street in this photo.

This location is also known as the now mostly defunct Solombalskaya Sudostroitelnaya Verf (Solombala Dockyards).

The neighborhoods along the Yuzhnaya Maymaksa Line mostly consist of poor wooden housing. They were totally dependent on tramway service due to absence of adequate direct road connection to the city.

One stop prior to the end of the line. The demand for tram service was such that during the morning rush hour some passengers opted for bordering outbound car and completing a round trip through the terminal in order to get a seat for the city-bound trip.

4-09a. The Yuzhnaya Maymaksa Terminal
RVZ-6M2 379 Line 3.
The world's northernmost point reached by tram, the Lesozavod N21 (Lumber Mill N21) Terminal of Arkhangelsk Line 3. This terminal is also known as Baumana Ul. or Yuzhnaya Maymaksa. This was not, however, always the northernmost point trams ever went to, as the line used to continue some 6 km. further north to Severnaya Maymaksa. The line was shortened to Yuzhnaya Maymaksa in the 1970s. The remaining stretch to Severnaya Maymaksa was replaced with the trolleybus line to Port Ekonomiya, served by trolleybus service 1, which opened in stages and was finally completed in 1990 only. The trolleybus line was subsequently closed in the late 1990s.
