3-01. Kirova Ul. & Karla Marksa Pr.
RVZ-6M2 004. Line 5, Z-d Polimerov-bound.
At the end of the boulevard via Kirova Ul. the line splits into two branches: toward the Depot and Z-d Polimerov, and toward Sangorodok and Mayskiy. This car is about to go straight to Z-d Polimerov. Note the switching mechanism in a form of a separate box sticking out of the pavement, complete with a permanent construction sign to point out the obstacle to unsuspecting motorists.

3-01. Kirova Ul. & Karla Marksa Pr.
KTM-8 T-169. Line 5, Z-d Polimerov-bound.
The same switch in the mid-1990s. The box is still there, but the traffic sign is gone. Thus, motorists are on their own now. This car stops for manual switch operation, as the mechanism inside the box apparently did not cooperate this time.

3-01. Kirova Ul. & Karla Marksa Pr.
RVZ-6M2 T-055. Line 6, Sangorodok-bound.
The same intersection 10 years later. The same box is still there, now sloppily protected against cars. The building in the background illustrates the state of disarray the city has recently fallen into. Apparently only central-most buildings receive a makeover. Note the split between tracks of opposite directions via boulevard-like Kirova Ul.

3-01. Kirova Ul. & Karla Marksa Pr.
KTM-5M3 T-140. Line 3, Mayskiy-bound.
The former direct line via Karla Marksa Pr., opened in 1959, extended from here straight ahead, via the boulevard in the background.

3-02. Kirova Ul. & Karla Marksa Pr.
KTM-8 T-181. Line 1, TETs-9-bound.
A complete view of the square and the tramway interchange. RVZ-6M2 tram is peering from around the corner, as it just arrived from Sangorodok.

3-02. Kirova Ul. & Karla Marksa Pr.
KTM-8 T-187. Line 3, Mayskiy-bound.
Note the complicated design of the rear window. Also of interest is the rear route display, actually mounted on the side of the tram. This tram is about to turn left toward Sangorodok and Mayskiy.

3-03. Olega Koshevogo Ul. & Sibirskaya Ul.
RVZ-6M2 T-055. Line 6, 205-y Kvartal-bound.

3-07. The Sangorodok Loop.
RVZ-6M2 T-055 serving Line 6.
The same tram as above incidentally gets into the picture 2 years earlier as it completes the same loop. The line to Mayskiy extends in the background.

3-07. The Sangorodok Loop.
RVZ-6M2 T-055 serving Line 6.
Following the loop with the same car with pictures taken over the span of 2 years. Note many cosmetic differences between the state of appearance of this car in 2002 and 2004: when this photo was taken RVZ-6M2 trams were slated for scrapping. KTM-5M3 tram in the background returns from Mayskiy.

3-11. Town of Mayskiy. Komsomolskaya Ul. near Telmana Ul.
KTM-5M3 T-154. Line 3, Mayskiy-bound.
Half-abandoned Mayskiy is in total disarray, the town's fate is somewhat emblematic of modern economic traits dominant in the region.
(30.09.2004,YM)
3-12. The Mayskiy Vokzal Loop.
KTM-5M3 T-154 awaits departure via Line 3.
As of 09.2004 this is the terminal for Line 3 and rush hour-only Line 1. The abandoned line to AGTsK used to continue beyond this terminal (see Part 9).
(30.09.2004,YM)
3-12. The Mayskiy Vokzal Loop.
RVZ-6M2 T-051 departs serving Line 3.
The partially abandoned Maysk railroad station is in the background. This is the only point where city trams serve the railroad, as trams do not go to the city's main railroad station.
(20.08.2002,Vladislav Prudnikov)
3-13. Departing the Mayskiy Vokzal Terminal.
KTM-5M3 T-113. Line 3, 17-y Mikrorayon-bound.
In 09.2004 the formerly grand Stalin-era Maysk railroad station building was found available for sale. Ridership here is practically non-existent, this photo is made during the height of the rush hour.
